Novora Building Services now incorporates SRM Solar (henceforth “Novora Solar”), which is led by the founders and former owners of Stroma Group. They began their solar journey from within Stroma in 2011, and have continued it ever since, amassing well over 1000 domestic and commercial-scale PV installations and all the associated experience and know-how along the way.

Backed by Novora’s resources and complimentary expertise, the SRM team are now fully embedded and growing within our business.
Background
Now that Approved Document Part L1A 2021 has taken hold, the choice for house-builders is either to take the plunge with heat pumps, or continue with gas boilers and add solar photovoltaic installations, as determined within the SAP10 assessment for each plot.
Furthermore, the Future Homes Standard looks likely to retain PV – and possibly BESS (battery energy storage systems) as part of the energy mix, along with heat pumps.

So, for most house-builders, this involves the introduction of a new trade, which must successfully interface with two key existing ones: roofing and electrics, particularly the former when ‘in-roof’ PV is preferred.
Why Novora Solar?
The selection of a PV contractor should be predicated on three key attributes:
Being focused on the house-builder market, Novora Solar meet these criteria and more. We go above-and-beyond, for example by working at an early stage with your designers and SAP assessors to get the compliance strategy right for each plot, through to providing marketing material and sales support to your on-site sales teams and agents.
Having previously run a business that employed scores of Energy Assessors, Building Control Officers, Compliance Testers, MCS Installation Trainers, and Solar PV installers, we are pretty well equipped to do this.
We therefore invite you to partner with us to integrate solar PV into your projects. From design through to installation, we promise a collaborative process that delivers cost effect compliance, incorporating innovative “work arounds” when needed, and sales support.

Scope of our product and service
Our employed roofers and electricians are trained and experienced in installing solar PV products from Tier-1 manufacturers, including Veridian, GivEnergy, GSE, Van-der-Valk and many others.
We also work with several of our developer customers to offer solar battery upgrades to their buyers of larger plots, where the battery and hybrid inverter can be accommodated at ground floor level. We provide the sales collateral and support to enable buyers to make an informed choice.
