Cavity Wall Insulation
Who can benefit?
As a general rule houses built since the 1920s feature two cavity walls with a gap (the cavity) in between the walls. Originally designed to prevent rainwater penetrating the interior of the house, unfilled cavities also allow heat to escape and can be insulated to prevent loss of heat.

The Process
Cavity wall insulation should be carried out by a registered installer who will drill holes approximately 22mm in diameter through the exterior walls at 1 metre intervals. The insulation is then blown through these holes with specialist equipment. Once the insulation is complete, the holes are then filled in and the whole process generally takes a couple of hours, depending on the size of the property.

Novora Building Services have partnered with Jablite, the UK’s largest producer of EPS, to deliver a complete design and installation package of a graphite 0.033 EPS full-fill cavity insulation. The system comes with the industry’s first comprehensive 10-year product and installation warranty.
