Health and Safety
At Novora Building Services, we take our responsibilities seriously. The wellbeing of our staff and our partners on site is of the utmost importance and we’re committed to continually assessing and improving safety on our sites.
All new employees receive a full safety induction and we offer in-house training for manual handling, working at heights, fire safety and minimising the risks from silica dust. We conduct weekly health and safety site inspections and all our contract managers and site supervisors are SSSTS qualified. We undertake monthly vehicle inspections and PPE checks as well as regular toolbox talks, in accordance with CITB guidelines.
Novora is a name you can trust. Our company is accredited by the leading authorities in the construction and housebuilding industries; including CHAS, SMAS, and CQMS, giving clients confidence in the high quality of our work.
Environment/ Sustainability
As an organisation, we recognise the importance of minimising our environmental impact and we work with some of the leading natural insulation manufacturers.
Our environmental policy outlines our commitment to working in a socially and environmentally responsible manner. We aim to minimise the impact of our work on local communities, wildlife and habitat.
Equality/Diversity
We strive to achieve equality for all and continue to strive to create a workplace where different groups and cultures are represented and valued. Our ethos extends beyond our employees, to include job applicants, clients and customers.
Living Wage
Novora Building Services is celebrating becoming a Living Wage Foundation employer. All our staff now receive a wage which is independently calculated on an annual basis and reflects the real cost of living, equating to £10.85 in London and £9.50 across the rest of the UK. It is the only wage rate which meets everyday living needs and is considerably higher than the current minimum wage.
We are proud to join over 7000 UK businesses who receive Living Wage accreditation. Our fellow accreditees include two-fifths of the FTSE 100 and household names such as Google, ITV and Ikea.
In real terms, we believe our staff deserve a fair day’s pay for their hard work. Read more on the Living Wage Foundation website.
Social Values
We resolve to build deeper and stronger relationships with social enterprises, the voluntary sector and local communities.
